Kool FM Tests “Here On”

For those of you who don’t know already KOOL FM in Kitchener/Waterloo tested my new single “Here On” from Todd’s Second Record. For this, they play the song on a random day within a period of time, people call in that day to vote Kool or not Kool, if there are more votes Not Kool nothing happens, but if the song is voted more Kool, then the song becomes part of the rotation. They can’t tell you what day your song will be tested, for a good reason, which prevents one from being able to cheat by rallying an unfair result. And thus as i was notified on the 26th, “Here On” was tested on September 25th. I phoned as soon as i found that out to get the results from Kool FM, and the song was voted 49% Kool and 51% Not Kool, which is nicely not a bad percentage to lose by. All things create these results; the people listening at any given time, the time of day, ect. I’m sorry that the people who voted Not Kool didn’t like the song. And my heartfelt gratitude goes out to those who enjoyed the song and spoke out. Sadly the results came out to the negative, it’s not the end of the world and certainly not my only opportunity right now. So there, rest peacefully kind spectators.

You can currently from anywhere in Canada, purchase a mail-order copy of Todd’s Second Record online off my site www.todddonald.wordpress.com or go to any HMV store and order it from them, not only that but i plan on their being copies available at the Fairway Park Mall and University Ave in Waterloo HMV STORES. In addition i’ll be bringing cds to local Kitchener outlets such as Encore, X-Disc-C and Waterloo’s Orange Monkey, check’er out.


CD Launch Show Aftermath

Thanks to Brian, Tessa, Jonathan, Adam, The Hawk Dawsons, as well as Claire, Charlotte, and everyone who came out to the CD release you all blew me away. I’m currently in possesion of the live recording of the CD Launch set that Brian and I mixed yesterday, perhaps you’ll be able to hear or download a live mp3 in the near future.

It’s seriously coming up fast, i mean, a week from tomorrow, me and the guys had another rehearsal yesterday, i’m expecting the shipment of 1000 copies to approach me either this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon. Either way the CD launch is approachin and there are tickets available. For all info regarding the show, refer to my poster image or the show listing’s info off the main page. Please come out, it’ll be great, ME, THE HAWK DAWSONS, DRINKING… Thanks first of all in this entry, to Jason Schneider and Patrick Finch for taking the time to put articles together for the sake of getting word out in the papers about the new records, not only incredible musicians, but well-spoken journalists and all around good f’in people.

Thanks as well to my parents for dealing with me in this nervous headless-chicken phase of CD-Launch business and for helping me with gas and transport to and from school this semester, which is a busy, crazy, sticky time for all. Thanks to all of you who plan on coming to the CD-Launch or are supportin the CD in all ways possible.
